Nutrition Information & Menus

We are excited to have your child(ren) join us for breakfast and lunch! We would like to share some important information with you to help make the year a successful one.

PLEASE READ the information below to familiarize yourself with the Food & Nutrition Department:

1. 1. WE ARE A PAID DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL MEALS. Prices for the new school year are announced each summer. You can view our full meal charge policy Meal Charge Policy
   2. Every day the C-M Food & Nutrition Services Department serves breakfast and lunch at all school locations. Our menus can be found online at the Colfax-Mingo CSD website Nutrition Information and Menus.
   3. What counts as a meal? Lunch includes 1 entree (meat/grains), vegetables, fruits, and milk. Breakfast includes 1 entree (2 grains or grain + meat), fruit juice, fruit, and milk.
   4. Ala-Carte – We sell extra items in grades 6-12 that students can supplement their meals with. These cost extra. Please note that milk with a cold lunch is considered ala carte ($0.40).
   5. If you need assistance with meals, we can help! A new free & reduced meal application must be completed each school year. The application for the 2024-2025 school year will be available in July. Watch your email each summer for exact availability dates. Once available, the application can be completed at any time online on your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account. If you need a paper copy, those can be picked up in any of our buildings. After completing the application, watch your mail for your benefits letter.
   6. Meal payment can be made at any building in the main office or online through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account. You can set auto payments and reminders on your portal as well.
   7. Want to see your child(ren)’s meal account balance or purchases? That information can be found on your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account too!

**Preschool Snacks and Extra Milk are NOT covered under the Free and Reduced Meal Program.**

The Nutrition Department serves breakfast and lunch daily to students, staff, & guests. They also participate and follow the requirements set within the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program for our Tigerhawk Family.
