Meet Mr. Jake Troja

Welcome our new Jr/Sr High School Principal Mr. Jake Troja. Jake is excited to start working in Colfax-Mingo and meet staff, students and community!

Meet Mr. Zach Tomas

Mr. Tomas is one of our school district’s best assets. I greatly appreciate all that he does for me and my fellow students at our school. Mr. Tomas consistently goes above and beyond to make connections with kids, no matter whether they are athletes or more academically-focused. He is genuine in all he does and it is clear that he cares deeply about the well-being of all his students. Not only is he a spectacular teacher, but he is a highly inspiring coach, and an even better person. Thanks for all that you do! ~Student at Colfax-Mingo

Meet Mr. Barkalow

STUDENT - Mr. Barkalow is a great teacher, and a great coach. I went out for track, and he is the greatest coach I have had yet. When I was in 8th grade he was my favorite reading and language teacher. Thanks Mr Barkalow - PARENT - He has an amazing bond with his students/players. He is great at making the students feel seen and feel heard. As a parent I really appreciate his commitment to his students. Thanks for all the work, Coach!

Meet Mrs. Brecht

Mrs. Brecht is my 5th grade teacher. I just moved here, and I am already getting a great education. I have also adapted because of her. She has to be on of the best teachers at the elementary school.

Meet Mrs. Johnston

Mrs. Johnston was my 5th grade teacher she was hard on us but only because she cares and she is a great teacher and cares about us all. ~Student at Colfax-Mingo

Meet Mr. Shane Webster

Mr. Webster inspired me by showing me that women can do just about anything men can do. He made working in the shop field fun and eye opening. He always would make sure that everyone is understanding the concept. He taught me how to weld! Not everyone can say that they have welded before. I'm so honored to saw that me as a woman, can weld! That was one of the coolest things I was able to do in high school! I was a little bummed that I was not able to have him as a teacher going into my senior year of high school but I am so blessed that I was able to have him as a teacher for 2 years. I learned so much taking his classes! He is such a good teacher and leader! I also want to thank him for his service. It means the world to me!
