Follow-up Steps

What happens next? Your application will be reviewed and you will receive an acceptance or rejection message within the next couple of days.

Accepted Applications

Once your application has been reviewed and accepted, please complete the following steps:

  1. Please login to the JMC Parent Portal using your last name (all lowercase) as your username, and the password: newuser. Change the password to something easy for you to remember after logging on. There you will be able to complete the registration process.
  2. Follow the simple Step-by-Step Guide and be sure to complete ALL information. Some fields (i.e. Health Custom Fields) have several questions, so be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page and answer all questions.
  3. Go to the “Tuition/Fees” on the left to pay for one of these items:
    1. Instructional Fees (required for each student – pro-rated for Free & Reduced)
    2. CM Activity Pass for student, adult, or family (optional)

Note: When paying for Tuition/Fees, making deposits to your child’s Lunch Account, or Purchasing Items (Activity Passes), you may incur additional fees for each transaction.

Free & Reduced Lunch
If you need to apply for Free & Reduced Lunch, go to Meals Application found on the JMC Dashboard.


Rejected Applications

If you receive an email saying that your application has been rejected, it may be because your child is already enrolled with the Colfax-Mingo Community School District. If this is the case, no further action is needed. Your child is automatically enrolled, and you need to complete the returning families process. If you are indeed “new” to the Colfax-Mingo Community School District, please contact Missy Daft at mdaft@colfaxmingo.org.
