The January 16, 2017 Regular Board Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, januar 17, 2017, at 5:45pm. The meeting will be held in the Jr/Sr High School Media Center as usual.
Mark your calendar to vote at the Colfax-Mingo Board of Directors' Special Election to continue the Voted PPEL Levy on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Polls open 12:00 Noon to 8:00 pm. Polling sites: Jasper County Fairgrounds in Colfax, and the Mingo Community Center in Mingo.
Absentee Ballot Request Forms for the February 7, 2017 Special Election to continue the Voted PPEL Levy may be obtained at the Jasper County Auditor's office (641-792-7016) or online @ http://sos.iowa.gov/elections/pdf/absenteeballotapp.pdf

Completed ballots must be received in the Jasper County Auditor's office before the polls close on election night OR must be postmarked Monday, February 6, 2017 for it to be eligible for counting
The Colfax-Mingo Community School District is a system serving approximately 741 students for the communities of Colfax, Mingo, Ira, and Valeria. Elementary grades K-6 and the Jr-Sr High School grades 7-12 are located in Colfax.
The district-wide focus is on meeting the individual educational needs of each student. There is a complete technology program, kindergarten through high school, with computer labs for use by all students. Jr & Sr High students each have access to Chromebooks. There is a strong relationship with the community as evidenced by the completion of a new elementary and high school attendance centers, including community centers designed to meet the needs of the students and persons of the community.
Colfax-Mingo students will be exposed to a strong basic education with the best learning environment possible. The district is a member of the South Iowa Cedar League [SICL] Activities Conference and offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities in both arts and athletics.
